We kicked off the ‘Beneath The Tides’ tour this month, starting in Kisumu on 13th June!

The event provided an immersive experience under the theme “Nurturing Minds, Strengthening Families,” focusing on the effects of mental health within families. Our goal was to create a safe space for raising awareness, enhancing understanding, and encouraging help-seeking behaviors, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of families.

Two films, ‘Act of Love’ and ‘Baba,’ were the focus of an engaging Q&A session with filmmakers Naomi Mburuh (Associate Producer, Act of Love), Shelly Gitonga (Writer, Act of Love), and Bramwel Iro (Producer, Baba).

Thanks to the support of HEVA Fund, Alliance Française Nairobi, the French Embassy in Kenya, and the French Government’s Creation Africa programme, the event was free to the public.
