ONE LAST ORDER WINS BIG AT ASPEN SHORTSFEST

Events  /  6th June 2026

It’s been a big month for One Last Order.

The film has been traveling across the U.S., screening at festivals and connecting with new audiences along the way.

Aspen Shortsfest was a special moment for the film.

For the first time, Sighle Williams whose story sits at the heart of the film was there in person to experience it all. From the red carpet to the screening, it felt like a full-circle moment watching her story land with an audience.

The film received both the Jury Award for Documentary and the Audience Award, a reflection of how strongly it connected in the room.

The journey continued at the Miami Film Festival, where the film was awarded the Audience Short Film Award another reminder that the story is resonating across different spaces and audiences.

But after the festivals, the travel, and the screenings, the next moment feels the most meaningful.

We’re taking the film back to Gainesville, Florida.
On Saturday, May 2nd, we’ll be hosting a free outdoor screening at Bo Diddley Plaza bringing the film back to the community where Sighle’s story was lived.

The evening will include:

  • Live soul and R&B music
  • The Mac’s Drive-Thru food truck
  • An open-air screening

We look forward to this because as much as festivals and awards matter, there’s something special about sharing the film with the people who already know the story and were part of it long before the cameras arrived.
