Earlier this month, the short documentary One Last Order had its world premiere at the True/False Film Festival in Columbia, Missouri.
Experiencing the film with an audience for the first time was a highlight of the month. The screenings were filled with the same laughter and warmth that Sighle brought to Mac’s Drive-Thru for 37 years. Beyond the cinema, co-directors Sam Soko and Lauren DeFilippo took part in the festival’s Campfire Stories, an evening of shared reflections on the trials and surprises of the creative process.
The most meaningful part of the journey remains the quiet moments after the credits roll; meeting audiences, hearing their stories, and seeing how Sighle’s legacy of kindness resonates far beyond Gainesville.
